Develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of airway management in the ICU

  • Concept of physiologically and anatomically difficult airways
  • Pre-oxygenation and apneic oxygenation during tracheal intubation
  • Devices, tools, and techniques to optimize for tracheal intubation, including airway ultrasound
  • Rescue Ventilation and emergency surgical airway for failed intubation
  • Case-Based Discussion and skill stations on special situations and procedures, including bronchoscopy and percutaneous tracheostomy
